Jean-Philippe Cointet (36 years) was trained as an engineer (Ecole Polytechnique) and holds a PhD in Complex Systems from the Ecole Polytechnique (2009, CREA). He is the scientific director of the CorText platform designing original methods for heterogenous data analysis directly available online in the CorText Manager.
His research interests include social media analysis (Facebook, online comments), science dynamics (oncology collective thoughts (CIHR project), synthetic biology emergence), political science (climate change negotiations, political discourses). He also develops original methods in between NLP and complex networks on the modeling of multi-dimensional textual corpora (semantic mapping, word embedding, temporal data visualization).
